We are so excited to officially introduce our Preschool & Children’s Ministry Leader, Korissa Stewart!
Korissa is the wife of Ethan Stewart and mother of their three children Avery (3), Rian (20mo.) & Grey (4mo.).

We are encouraged that the families within our church will have Korissa leading them as we follow Jesus together. Since Korissa's acceptance of her new role and the church voting to accept her on March 7th, she has been busy with preparations  for summer curriculum and events at FBC of Fannett. 

Korissa and her family are not strangers to FBCF. She, her husband Ethan and their children have been a part of our family for several years in many ways. Korissa and Ethan were married at FBCF and we have enjoyed watching their family grow. Through many months of prayer on their part and ours, God has opened many doors giving them an opportunity to sell their Beaumont home and move to Hamshire where they intend to raise their family.  They are excited God has led them in this direction giving them more opportunities to serve our community. 

Korissa is a High School graduate of Vidor High School. Korissa and Ethan moved their letters of membership from Calvary Baptist Church Beaumont in 2020. She had been a member of Calvary since 2013. As an active member, Korissa spent many years working with Pre-Teen and Children's ministries as well as the College Renewal Ministry. She has had 3 years of Children's Leadership training giving her the experience and passion to take on the role of Preschool & Children's Ministry Leader here at FBC of Fannett.

Korissa is passionate about family. She has a heart for children and a desire to see families grow in relationship with Jesus.  She is looking forward to encouraging the kids of Hamshire and Fannett to be the salt and light in the community. We are thankful that God is calling her to lead in this vital role.

Korissa has officially taken the lead as Preschool & Children’s Minister and is working hard to organize upcoming Summer events such as V.B.S. & camp activities. Events that we are encouraged to see grow under her ledership.

As we welcome her into this role we ask that you would be in prayer for Korissa, Ethan and their family as they transition into a new home, community and her new role. Also, be in prayer for our entire leadership staff as we continually seek ways to engage families to discover God’s great love through Jesus.

We are so thankful for you, that God is actively working through the lives of his people at First Baptist Church of Fannett as we follow Jesus together.
