First Baptist Church of Fannett is a body of believers made up of people from different backgrounds and stories joined together because of the gospel of Christ. Family Friday is a blog post highlighting some of those amazing members that are willing to step out in faith to share their stories. As you get to know our members through their stories, I ask that you pray for them and the ministry they are involved with at FBCF. Pray for them as they share their faith journey with you so that YOU may get to know the heart of FBCF.

What ministry do you serve in?

I am a volunteer at FBCF. One of the things I volunteer with is helping the media team with the music lyric slides during church when Mrs. Cindy is out.

What is your favorite thing about serving?

I like helping where I can. Working the slides usually means I get to sit by some of my best friends. It also helps me stay focused on where we are in our service. I am a person who can be easily distracted.

How long have you been a member of FBCF?

I have attended FBCF since September 2019. I started off slow coming here and there. I became a more frequent attender as time went on. I officially became a member June 2020.

What's one thing you would tell someone who is thinking about joining FBCF?

Of all the churches I have been to through my life, FBCF made me feel most welcome from the start. We have some of the most hospitable, loving and encouraging members at FBCF.

Would you like to share your testimony?

I became a wife and stepmother in 2016. I became a mother in 2017. All of these things have had their up and down moments. The downs had me really down emotionally. I had faith and believed God had a purpose for all of it. Then one day, my co-worker who had become one of my very best friends, Callie Cornwell, invited me to attend church with her at FBCF. Bro. Scooter was one of the very first to introduce himself and welcome me. Shortly after, I brought my son to the Halloween festival in the Family Life Center. From there, I gradually attended more and more events with my son. Now it is hard to even miss one week. Matthew asks to go to church all week and if we do miss I am always reminded that we were missed and are loved.

I have always been a child of God. A believer. But I was a wondering believer without a home. I know the basics of Adam & Eve, Noahs Ark and other things learned in Children's Church and I am learning more every week. I am never made to feel lesser than due to my lack of biblical knowledge. I was baptized by immersion on June 28,2020 by Bro. Scooter. I am ever so happy to share my journey in Christ with the members of FBCF. Most of all, I love the love my 3 year old already has for church and Jesus thanks to FBCF.
