First Baptist Church of Fannett is a body of believers made up of people from different backgrounds and stories joined together because of the gospel of Christ. Family Friday is a blog post highlighting some of those amazing members that are willing to step out in faith to share their stories. As you get to know our members through their stories, I ask that you pray for them and the ministry they are involved with at FBCF. Pray for them as they share their faith journey with you so that YOU may get to know the heart of FBCF.

What ministry do you serve in?

My primary role or ministry is that of a pastors wife. I feel like I am first called to support, encourage and minister to my husband.

Secondly, I have served as a Sunday School teacher in the Youth Department for many years as well as helping out in the Children's ministry as needed.

I also feel I have a ministry of hospitality and to the elderly.

What is your favorite thing about serving?

My favorite thing about serving is getting to know the kids and teenagers personally. Being a part of their lives and seeing their spiritual growth. Taking teens to camp and on mission trips has been a great joy! Another joy has been opening our home to others. We have certainly been blessed with a home that we need to share with others.

How long have you been a member of FBCF?

I have been a member of FBCF since 2002. At that time, my husband was called as pastor.

What's one thing you would tell someone who is thinking about joining FBCF?

I would say that here at FBCF you will truly find a family that loves you, that will pray for you, encourage you, and will work hard to show you God's love. I think most of us have a really good time together and enjoy seeking Christ together.

Would you like to share your testimony?

I was raised in a Christian home with very loving parents that very much loved each other and us children. I accepted Christ as a Pre-Teen through the ministry of my parents combined with that of my church. I feel like I have grown as a Christian over the years in ministry and the years of child rearing. We have faced some really difficult struggles in the last dozen years with the trials of adult children and the issues within the church and natural disasters! Having the Holy Spirit to comfort us and our Heavenly Father to guide us is the only way we have made it through these times.
He has proved over and over that He is faithful and He is good.
